Redditvision Song Contest 6 was the sixth edition of the Redditvision Song Contest. It was hosted by u/DeannaDeesse in Birmingham, England following their win the previous edition with the song "Foreign Hands", performed by George Ogilvie.
The edition followed the same format introduced in the fifth edition, with two semi-finals and one grand final. The top six from the fifth edition would be joined by 10 qualifiers from each semi-final, an increase from the 8 semi-final qualifiers used in the previous edition. Each delegate voted in their own semi-final, with three AQ delegates voting in each semi-final. Every country then voted in the grand final.
The live voting began on May 7th, 2017. After an exhilarating voting, the results showed that Wales and Poland were tied on points. Wales and u/Fingrpaint's entry "Comeback", performed by Ella Eyre, won the tie-break by receiving scores from more countries. Wales received points from 21 countries, while Poland got points from 20 countries.
Participants
A then record-number of 40 users participated in the contest. Algeria and San Marino were disqualified during the semi-finals. Canada, Nepal, Russia and Switzerland failed to vote in the grand final.
A total of 10 users debuted, the highest number since edition 2, where 19 users made their debut. These users were u/chikabow, u/IdahoSciGuy, u/JonideBlam, u/Kaphox, u/Kubgge, u/RacoonBot, u/SoaringAven, u/stardust112, u/theofficialruar and u/throwawayravenclaw. Three users returned to the contest: u/michaelanthony128 (last seen in the first edition), u/Pourquoijv and u/whyidontwanna (both last seen in edition 2). The users last seen in edition 2 would later get disqualified for not voting in the semi-final.
Six users that participated the previous edition were not present. u/blandwhiteguy, u/bunbun74 and u/therealmatthewlam were all barred from participating after not voting in edition 5. In addition, u/kontor97, u/laneyflitt and u/Survivorlover52 all withdrew. u/laneyflitt would return the following edition, while u/kontor97 would not be seen again until edition 12, and u/therealmatthewlam would not return until edition 16. The three others have not participated in the contest since.
Algeria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Guatemala, Liechtenstein, Mongolia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, Poland, Russia, Wales made their Redditvision debut.

Grand final
Canada, Nepal, Russia and Switzerland who had been eliminated in the semi-finals, failed to vote in the final. u/LF1MUBRSneedtank, u/JonideBlam, u/Kaphox and u/michaelanthony128 were therefore disqualfied from participating in edition 7.
Wales and Poland tied on points, both scoring 147 points. Wales narrowly won after receiving points from 21 voters, while Poland got points from 20 countries.
